- It records; it doesn’t calculate. No net worth totals, projections, or tax estimates. Every number was stated by someone, so every number is auditable.
- One current value per fact, with prior values in History. It’s not a time-series or performance tool, and it doesn’t pull live balances from custodians.
- The Data tab has no create-a-record form. You can correct any value there, but adding something brand new happens through conversation: tell Hazel in chat, write a note, upload a document that shows it, or bring it up in a recorded meeting.
- The profile builds from what Hazel can see. A meeting without the notetaker, or a conversation that never makes it into a note, email, or document, leaves no trace to capture. For a client’s pre-Hazel history, documents are the fastest way in.
- Dollar amounts are recorded in USD.
- The structure is fixed. No custom sections or fields, so every client’s profile is organized the same way.
