A few items to keep in mind while you build and maintain ICP:
  • It records; it doesn’t calculate. No net worth totals, projections, or tax estimates. Every number was stated by someone, so every number is auditable.
  • One current value per fact, with prior values in History. It’s not a time-series or performance tool, and it doesn’t pull live balances from custodians.
  • The Data tab has no create-a-record form. You can correct any value there, but adding something brand new happens through conversation: tell Hazel in chat, write a note, upload a document that shows it, or bring it up in a recorded meeting.
  • The profile builds from what Hazel can see. A meeting without the notetaker, or a conversation that never makes it into a note, email, or document, leaves no trace to capture. For a client’s pre-Hazel history, documents are the fastest way in.
  • Dollar amounts are recorded in USD.
  • The structure is fixed. No custom sections or fields, so every client’s profile is organized the same way.
