Hazel does not import existing roles and permissions from your CRM. It is up to the Owner to edit household permissions for the organization. Learn more about editing household permissions.
The Redtail integration provides a bi-directional sync for: Tasks, Notes, Contacts, and Households. Hazel instantaneously syncs data to Redtail, and Redtail syncs data every 24 hours to Hazel. Upon the initial sync, Hazel partially backfills historical data based on Redtail’s sync guidelines and imports all contacts with no filters applied.
Ask Hazel about Redtail Activities
In addition to the synced data above, Hazel can read your Redtail Activities directly when you ask in chat. Activities are the structured workflow records behind your client onboarding pipeline, service tickets, follow-ups, and any other categorized work — so they’re the right source for workflow-status questions (use Activities, not notes, for these). You can ask by category, status, assignee, and date range. For example:- “Who is currently in Client Onboarding?”
- “List my open Service activities.”
- “Show activities assigned to me starting in the next 30 days.”
- “List completed activities between 2026-01-01 and 2026-03-31.”
Scope chat questions by advisor role
Hazel can also filter households by the advisor roles assigned in Redtail (Lead Advisor, Senior Advisor, Paraplanner, CSA, etc.) so you can scope chat questions to your own book or to a colleague’s.
